会場は、私たちの築100年の町家🏡 この空間で、竹田さんご自身が制作された茶道具を用い、作家ご本人によるお手前をご覧いただけます。
お菓子は、本企画のため特別に誂えていただいた「吉はし」さんの上生菓子。さらに花のアトリエこすもすさんが、竹田さんの作品イメージに合わせて装花をしつらえてくださり、この日だけの特別な空間をご用意して、皆さまをお迎え致します🌿

また当日は、茶道具に込めた想いや制作背景について、竹田さんご本人から直接お話を伺えるトークの時間もご用意。

[One-Day Special Event] A Special Tea Gathering & Talk Event Featuring Tea Utensils by Ceramic Artist Mizuho Takeda🍵🌿

In conjunction with Mizuho Takeda’s solo exhibition at atelier & gallery creava in Nagamachi, we are hosting a one-day-only special tea gathering at IN KANAZAWA HOUSE.

The venue is our 100-year-old machiya townhouse🏡
 During the event, you can enjoy a tea demonstration using tea utensils created by Takeda herself, presented by the artist.
The sweets are special seasonal wagashi created by Yoshihashi exclusively for this event. In addition, Flowers Atelier Cosmos will arrange flowers inspired by Takeda’s works, creating a unique space for this one day only to welcome all guests🌿

A talk session will also be held, where Takeda will share the ideas and background behind her tea utensils.
Relax and enjoy a calm, unhurried time in the machiya. Everyone is welcome, including first-time visitors😊

The CJPF AWARD recognizes outstanding initiatives that share the appeal of Japan with the world while creating a sustainable economic cycle.
The award ceremony took place on March 2, with Minister Onoda in attendance.

The chopstick rests and cutlery rests used in our culinary experience are designed to bring joy to the table.
These uplifting designs were created by sibling artists from Kanazawa City, Kanta Wajima and Kaede Wajima.
Both artists are on the autism spectrum and have developmental differences, yet each possesses extraordinary and unique artistic talent. Today, they collaborate with well-known companies and continue to expand their fan base across Japan. Their powerful, joy-filled art brings energy and happiness to everyone who sees it.
Kanta’s work is characterized by dynamic compositions filled edge-to-edge with people, characters, and various motifs—densely detailed and bursting with life.
Kaede’s art features rhythmic, warm patterns inspired by intricate paper cuttings she carefully creates with scissors.
Simply looking at their illustrations brightens the heart. Their art brings color, warmth, and joy to the space where we host our experiences.
Many of our guests choose to purchase these pieces as souvenirs, taking home a special memory of their time with us.
Within each small chopstick rest is a powerful sense of happiness and creativity. We hope to continue sharing the beauty and energy of their art with guests visiting from around the world.

私たちの料理体験でお客様にお使いいただいている、お箸置きとカトラリーレスト。
この心躍るデザインを手がけたのは、金沢市出身の兄妹アーティスト、輪島貫太さん・輪島楓さん。
お二人は発達特性を持ちながら、それぞれに唯一無二の才能を発揮し、日本中にファンを広げています。今では有名企業とのコラボレーションも多数。見る人を元気にする、力強くハッピーなアートが多くの人の心をつかんでいます。
貫太さんの作品は、一枚の紙いっぱいに人物やキャラクター、モチーフがぎっしりと描き込まれた、エネルギーあふれる世界観が魅力。楓さんは、ハサミでチョキチョキ切り出した切り絵から生まれる、リズミカルであたたかみのあるパターンが特徴です。
見ているだけで心が明るくなるお二人のイラストは、私たちの体験の空間も、いつも楽しく彩ってくれています。
IN KANAZAWA HOUSEでの体験の思い出として、体験後にお土産として購入してくださるゲストの方も多くいらっしゃいます。

March has arrived.Today in Kanazawa, the sun finally made an appearance after many cloudy days, gently reminding us that spring is on its way.
The floral arrangement in our machiya was refreshed recently, and some of the buds that were still closed at that time have begun to bloom as of this morning.
Watching the young shoots and buds slowly swell and open into flowers feels like a quiet sign that the long winter is coming to an end. It brings us such a gentle sense of joy 🌸
We hope that the guests visiting us today will also enjoy these small signs of spring awakening inside the machiya 😌

三月に入りましたね。今日の金沢は、久しぶりにお日さまが顔を出し、春の訪れを感じさせてくれています。
先日、町家の生け込みも新しく入れ替えていただきました。その時にはまだ蕾だった花たちも、今朝見ると、いくつかが静かに開花していました。
春の芽や蕾が少しずつ膨らみ、やがて花を咲かせる姿は、長い冬の終わりをそっと知らせてくれているようで、なんとも嬉しい気持ちになります🌸

One of the essential ingredients in making temari sushi is egg🥚
We gently beat the eggs and carefully strain them through a fine sieve to create a silky-smooth texture. No salt or seasoning is added. Each thin layer is then cooked slowly and carefully in a rectangular tamagoyaki pan.
It takes practice to master the technique—especially learning how to skillfully roll and flip the delicate egg with chopsticks, turning it smoothly without tearing. When guests ask, “How did you cook the egg like that?” it always gives me a little victory fist pump inside😁
Once the thin sheets are beautifully cooked, we cut them into narrow strips. The remaining edges are finely chopped and used as decorative toppings. The strips can be gently wrapped around the round balls of sushi rice, adding both elegance and color.
Such a simple ingredient transforms into something delicate and special.
We hope you’ll give it a try at home and experience the joy of making it yourself ✨

手毬寿司を作る時に欠かせない具材の一つが、卵。
卵を溶いて丁寧にザルで裏漉しし、塩など調味料は何も加えず、一枚ずつ丁寧に卵焼き器で焼いていきます。

箸でクルクルと破れずにうまくひっくり返せるようになるまで、繰り返し練習が必要です。「どうやってこの卵焼いたの？」とお客様に驚かれると、ちょっと嬉しい気持ちになります（笑）

焼き上がった薄い卵を帯状に切り、残った端の部分は微塵切りに。これで丸く握ったすし飯の周りに巻いたり、デコレーションとして載せたりと、様々な飾りに使えます✨

2月14日・15日と行われた「ゆる〜りとけんちゃん展」にお越しくださった皆さま、どうもありがとうございました！

今回の主催者である「てとて」とゆかりのある幼稚園の関係者をはじめ（お子さんの来場も沢山✨）、地域の方、そしてけんちゃんのイラストのモデルにもなっているアナウンサーの方や中日新聞の記者さんにも取材に来て頂き、予想を上回る大盛況となりましたこと、心から嬉しく思います。

普段は静かな蔵のギャラリーも、この2日間はけんちゃんを囲んで賑やかに、温かな空気に溢れていました。

今回足を運ぶことが出来なかった方々に、「ゆる〜りとけんちゃん展」の楽しさをお裾分け。一人でも多くの方に、肩の力がすっと抜け、心がほっとするけんちゃんの作品の魅力を、純粋に楽しんでもらえたら嬉しいです。

なお展示は3/4（水）まで続けることになりました。町家が閉まっている日もありますので、お手数ですが来場をご希望の方は事前に確認のご連絡を宜しくお願いします🙇‍♀️

Thank you so much to everyone who visited the “Yururi to Kenchan Exhibition” held on February 14th and 15th!
We were delighted to welcome many guests, including families connected to the kindergarten associated with the organizer, Tetote (and so many children ✨), local community members, the announcer who serves as the model for Kenchan’s illustrations, and even a reporter from the Chunichi Shimbun. The exhibition exceeded all our expectations, and we are truly grateful for such a wonderful turnout.
Our usually quiet kura gallery was filled with lively conversations and a warm, joyful atmosphere as people gathered around Kenchan during these two special days.
For those who were unable to attend, we hope to share a little glimpse of the gentle charm of the “Yururi to Kenchan Exhibition.” We would be so happy if even one more person could experience the simple joy of Kenchan’s work—art that helps you relax your shoulders, take a deep breath, and feel at ease.
The exhibition has now been extended until Wednesday, March 4th. Please note that there are days when the machiya is closed, so we kindly ask that you contact us in advance if you wish to visit 🙇‍♀️

14日（土）のオープンハウスにお越しくださった皆さま、本当にありがとうございました！
同日開催の「ゆる〜りとけんちゃん展」もあり、たくさんの方に足を運んでいただきました。イベントのリピーターさんも何組かいらして、こうしてまたお会いできることが本当に嬉しく、ありがたい気持ちでいっぱいです。

当日は、近江町市場の忠村水産・トシさんお手製のあんこう鍋🐟と、自家製ほうじ茶豆乳ラテ☕️をご用意しました。
普段の手毬寿司作り体験で使っている寿司型を使った、俵型おにぎり作り体験🍙も開催。子どもたちが楽しそうに作る姿に、私たちもほっこりしました😊

丁寧に下処理されたあんこうを使ったお鍋は、澄んだお出汁に旨味がたっぷり。食べ応えもしっかりで、お客様にもスタッフにも大好評でした！�トシさん、心のこもったお料理をありがとうございました😋
さらに、同じく近江町市場のよこい青果さんから仕入れた新鮮なお野菜も大人気🥦✨
いつもお付き合いのあるお店の皆さまに、こうしてオープンハウスを支えていただけること、本当にありがたい限りです。

With “Yururi ~ Ken-chan Exhibition” happening on the same day, we were delighted to welcome so many visitors. We were especially happy to see several returning guests — it truly means a lot to reconnect with you again.
On the day, we served a special monkfish hot pot prepared by Toshi-san from Omicho Market’s Tadamura Suisan 🐟 along with our homemade roasted hojicha soy latte ☕️.
The hot pot, made with carefully prepared monkfish, featured a clear, delicate broth full of rich umami flavor. It was hearty and deeply satisfying — a big hit with both our guests and staff!😋�Thank you, Toshi-san, for the beautifully prepared dish made with such care.
We also sourced fresh vegetables from Yokoi Seika at Omicho Market, which were also very popular.
We held a hands-on rice ball workshop using the same molds we use for our temari sushi experience, shaping them into tawara-style onigiri 🍙 The children had so much fun making them, and seeing their smiles warmed our hearts 😊
We are truly grateful to the local shops we regularly work with for supporting our Open House in this way.
