Immerse yourself in the refined world of Japanese craftsmanship with this exclusive art and craft tour, offering unparalleled insights through curator-led visits to two of Kanazawa’s most distinguished museums: the National Crafts Museum and the Nakamura Memorial Museum.

Nestled within the Kenrokuen Area Cultural Zone, these museums provide a sophisticated introduction to modern and contemporary crafts, as well as exquisite tea ceremony utensils spanning from the Edo period onward. This tour is designed for travelers seeking intellectual depth, cultural context, and experiences beyond standard museum visits.

Out-of-Gallery Experience

Discover Japanese crafts through expert commentary provided by curators and certified craft specialists. The National Crafts Museum, the only national museum in Japan dedicated exclusively to crafts and design, offers the ideal setting to gain a profound understanding of Japanese artistry.

Guided by active curators, participants learn not only how to appreciate the craftsmanship but also the cultural essence that informs it. A specially created tour pamphlet invites visitors to explore the rich history of Japanese craft while delving into the Maeda clan’s samurai legacy, which transformed Ishikawa Prefecture into a hub of masterful artisanship.
